Make sure to keep in touch with the OISSS office and give them any updates/ changes
to your status
Try to read through the requirements for your visa type to ensure that you are always
up to date with the most current visa requirements.
Remember to get your 1-20 signed once a year whether or not you have plans to travel.
It is also always a good idea to keep your visa stamp current, that way you do not
have to worry about waiting 5 business days when you do need to travel.
Always request your Enrollment Letter at least one month before you need it.
Use Concurrent Enrollment to bring down the cost of your basic ( math, English, Science,
History and Political science) courses. Language courses are better at UH.
Take classes as you are able, if you find yourself in your final semester you can
just fill out the reduced course load request form
