Welcome to the University of Houston Honors Debate Workshop. 

The Honors Debate Team at the University of Houston is proud to announce the first UH Honors Debate Workshop “HDW” to be held at the University of Houston from July 7 through July 19. This is a premier debate workshop with top faculty from around the country teaching competitive debate to high schoolers.

This is an intense, two-week debate workshop for Congress, Lincoln-Douglas, Policy, Public Forum and Worlds School formats with both residential and commuter options.  We also offer a one-week program focused on individual events.  The individual events program is commuter only.  The workshop is inclusive for all high school students who wish to participate.

The costs for the workshop are:

2-week debate programs
Residential:  $2,800
Commuter: $1,800
*If you register before March 1, you will get a $300 discount.
 
Speech Programs (Commuter only)
1 week commuter: $1,000
2 week commuter: $1,800
