LEARN KEY SKILLS & ATTITUDES FOR CONGRESSIONAL DEBATE
Congressional Debate models the real-life lawmaking process in a democratic society. Our workshop exposes students to key skills and attitudes needed in competitive forensics.
Our focus is fostering students’ growth and improvement, not just preparing for the next debate tournament. This happens in an innovative, engaging, and safe atmosphere which encourages students to reach beyond their potential. Respected and experienced classroom teachers employ layer-in skills methodically to ensure mastery, by self-reflection, and personal goal setting. This will involve individualized instruction throughout the camp. We will improve public speaking skills, and research skills, as well as foster a disposition that emphasizes leadership over mere competitiveness.

LEVELS
This program is appropriate for students with no experience or with several years experience. Teachers will vary instruction levels as needed, based on level experience of politics and current events.
