Larry McGowan II, Reservationist in the Student Centers, is the well-deserved recipient of the Golden Paw Employee of the Month award for March 2024. Larry exemplifies the epitome of dedication and selflessness in his role at Conference and Reservation Services (CARS) in the Student Centers. Larry has exhibited an unwavering commitment to going above and beyond in his willingness to assist anyone in need. Whether it is ensuring seamless event setups, mentoring new team members, or extending a helping hand across departments, Larry's impact resonates throughout the organization.

Erin Woods, Assistant Director of Creation Station/Marketing, nominated Larry and shared, “Larry always goes beyond to help whoever comes into CARS. He has helped me numerous times when I have reserved space, and the necessary equipment hasn't been set up by AV or other areas." At the heart of Larry's responsibilities lies the pivotal task of working with departments, RSOs (Registered Student Organizations), and external entities to orchestrate reservations and schedules at the Student Centers. His meticulous attention to detail ensures that every event unfolds flawlessly, from room arrangements to equipment provisions. Moreover, Larry's proactive approach extends beyond his core duties, as he actively engages in cross-departmental collaboration, facilitating smoother communication channels and fostering a sense of unity within the organization. Larry's invaluable contributions enhance the operational efficiency of CARS and embody the spirit of service and teamwork that defines its ethos.
