Il Circolo Italiano

Il Circolo Italiano is an Italian club here at the University of Houston. The club was founded in 2014, but was an idea that began in 2013. Learning Italian is not an easy task for many students, if not most. Also, never getting much of an opportunity to practice it, aside from the class, also makes it harder to practice it anywhere. What Il Circolo Italiano focuses on, is to unite students with the same interests in the Italian language and culture.

Throughout the month, we plan events that range from Italian movie nights to socials at a local restaurant or café. The benefits are endless as you are surrounded by people with the same interest in wanting to learn Italian and on top of that, actual Italians that are willing to practice with you.

We also offer tutoring for any individual who is having trouble with any of their Italian classes. Not only does this help the individual but also reinforces the tutor to really settle on the basics of the Romantic Language. This is a great opportunity for anyone wishing to Major or Minor in Italian, is currently taking or has taken classes, or simply anyone wishing to learn some Italian.
