Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the Post-Baccalaureate Leveling Program?
The Post-Baccalaureate Leveling Program is designed for individuals who have already obtained a Bachelor’s degree in an area other than Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology. The leveling program provides the necessary pre-requisite coursework to enter a graduate program in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  2. Does the Post-Baccalaureate Leveling Program prepare me to be a speech-language pathology assistant?
The Post-Baccalaureate Leveling Program is designed to prepare you for a graduate program in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Consequently, the Post-Baccalaureate Leveling Program is not designed to prepare you to work as a speech-language pathology assistant in the state of Texas.
  3. I need to work full time. How can I do the Post-Baccalaureate Leveling Program?

  4. Will it shorten my Post-Baccalaureate Leveling Program if I start in the spring semester?
No. Classes are very tightly sequenced. All the courses you take in the fall semester are pre-requisites for the spring semester courses. If you do not wish to take the full course load, a two-year option is available.
