Application and Admission

Applicants may begin submitting applications to the Post Baccalaureate Leveling Program starting October 1^st. Applicants can access the application packet by clicking on the link: Application Packet. Instructions on how to submit the application are included in the application packet. Applications are due January 15, 2027, and applicants will receive an admissions decision by the first week of March. Individuals accepted into the program would begin the program the following fall semester. Once all applications are submitted, the admissions committee will begin their review for admittance to the Post-Baccalaureate Leveling Program for the subsequent academic year. The following components will be required:

UH COMD Department Application

• APPLICATION PAGE: The application page opens on October 1st.
• TRANSCRIPTS: One official or unofficial transcript from each institution attended (INCLUDING UH, if you took undergraduate courses at UH).
• PERSONAL STATEMENT: A personal statement that describes your interest in COMD, what makes you a good candidate for the program, relevant activities, and any other pertinent information in 1-2 pages.
• 3 LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: Applicants choose their letter writers, however letter writers should speak to your communication (written and oral), critical thinking, independent learning, and interpersonal skills.
• RESUME: An updated resume.
• FEE: A $50.00 non-refundable application fee.

Courses in biological sciences, physical sciences, social sciences and statistics must be completed prior to entering the leveling program. We require three credits from each of the following background courses:

• Biological Science (e.g., biology, human anatomy)
• Physical Science (e.g., physics, chemistry)
• Social Science (e.g., psychology, sociology, anthropology)
• Statistics
