Drs. Heather Dial and Pepe Contreras-Vidal (ECE) were awarded a $25,000 IUCRC BRAIN Center industry-funded seed grant. This grant supports a project aimed at developing a brain-computer interface (BCI) for decoding spoken language from neurophysiological signals recorded using EEG. This project marks a major step toward developing BCIs that can be used as assistive technology for individuals who cannot produce speech on their own.
