CoogCARE Collaborator

The CoogCARE Collaborator Program is for Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) that are committed to improving the mental health and well-being of their organization and members.

The program offers the tools needed for RSOs to promote awareness of and access to mental health services at UH. Collaborator organizations will work with representatives from CAPS to incorporate healthy practices and resource awareness into organization activities.

These practices may include:

  • Training officers and members with mental health resources.
  • Incorporating information about CAPS into meeting presentations.
  • Inviting CAPS speakers to present on a topic or facilitate a discussion.
  • Tabling on campus with CAPS

Benefits of participation:

  • Resources and tools necessary to build a supportive community
  • Promotion across campus on screens and flyers
  • Eligibility for campus recognition awards

How it works

  1. An officer from your organization completes a brief enrollment form anytime during the calendar year.
  2. A CAPS student ambassador reaches out to set-up a guided conversation.
  3. Your RSO explores ways to incorporate health and well-being practices into your organization’s culture.
  4. Your RSO may apply to receive an award at the end of the academic year (May)

Apply now

Application is open to officers of an RSO. Registration is open year-round, but organizations will need to renew membership in the fall.
