The University of Houston is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate, masters, professional, and doctoral degrees. Cullen College of Engineering

Six undergraduate degree programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. The Biomedical Engineering and Petroleum degree programs have been approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board but have not been reviewed for Engineering Accreditation by ABET.
