Benefits eligible employees are required to make their optional benefits elections within their first 30 days of hire and medical insurance elections within their first 90 days of hire.  Missing these very important deadlines will require you to wait until open enrollment (July) to make elections with a benefits effective date of September.  In addition, some of the optional benefits may require completion of Evidence of Insurability.  Detailed benefits information is available at:  Benefits for New Hires
