As you begin your journey as an employee at UH there are several points of information that you need to know and deadlines that require action from you. The information below will cover new hire mandatory training requirements, benefits sign-up deadlines, required direct deposit set up and the Affordable Care Act notification. Please make sure that you read the information completely and take action on those items that affect you.
As a new hire your tax status is automatically set up as Single with 0 allowances by IRS regulations. This is the HIGHEST taxing amount for withholding tax. You are responsible for logging into PASS (People’s Advantage Self Service) and setting up your W4 withholding status. For questions please contact the Human Resources Service Center.
All new employees will receive an email reagrding their required mandatory training as well as other new hire information and resources.
New Hire Mandatory training needs to be completed within 30 days of the hire date. New Hire Mandatory training will complete the requirement for the annual fiscal year mandatory training.
- Anyone in a hire status (hire/rehire) on or after 9/1, will be enrolled in New Hire Training
- Per UHS Policy, all UHS active employees are required to complete a mandatory training (either New Hire or Annual Mandatory Training) each fiscal year
