The 5x Project: Disconnected but not Invisible
What is the 5X Project: Disconnected but Not Invisible?
As part of the Texas Higher Education (THE) Collaborative for Wellbeing, University of Houston is expected to complete different activities that lead to better student outcomes. The most current milestone, the 5X Project: Disconnected but Not Invisible, consists of examining strategies to support students with disabilities who are not registered at the Justin Dart Jr., Student Accessibility Center in finding and engaging with their people and community. The concept is to test strategies with 5 students of this population that will help them feel a greater sense of belonging, then scale learnings to more students and, ultimately, positively shift the culture of University of Houston.
