Dr. Barbara J. Keith brings more than a decade of experience in higher education, instructional support, and organizational leadership. She is dedicated to strengthening academic processes, supporting student success, and enhancing institutional effectiveness through collaboration, communication, and strategic coordination.

For over 11 years, Dr. Keith has served as an Adjunct Professor at Lone Star College, where she has contributed to academic quality through effective instruction, comprehensive student support, and maintaining high standards necessary for student achievement. In this capacity, she has collaborated with faculty and academic leadership, supported professional development efforts, and helped cultivate an environment centered on learning and engagement.

Dr. Keith helps ensure seamless student‑facing operations by strengthening communication, maintaining accurate academic documentation, supporting instructional consistency, and fostering an environment where students receive timely and effective support. She is recognized for her ability to bring teams together through clear communication, structured processes, and a balanced leadership approach that prioritizes collaboration and service. Her strengths in presentation development, conflict resolution, process coordination, and stakeholder engagement contribute to a smooth, student‑centered academic experience.

A Houston native and first‑generation college graduate, Dr. Keith holds a Doctor of Education in Developmental Education Administration from Sam Houston State University, a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from the University of St. Thomas.

Her leadership expertise includes academic operations, instructional support, training and development, conflict resolution, communication strategy, ai, and public relations. Across every role, Dr. Keith is known for her integrity, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to supporting institutional excellence and student success.

Beyond her responsibilities in higher education, Dr. Keith is actively engaged in community service as the community relations coordinator with Houston Chow Chow Connection. Her volunteer work includes coordinating documentation processes, developing training materials, supporting fundraising initiatives, identifying corporate partners for merchandise‑based fundraising, and creating nationwide campaigns. These efforts reflect her commitment to service, connection, and meaningful community engagement.
