Mili Kyropoulou is an Assistant Professor at the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design. She is an international architect, educator, researcher, and the founder and director of BASE Lab. She studied architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds an MSc in Sustainable Environmental Design (SED) from the Architectural Association (AA) London. Mili is a RIBA Chartered Architect in the UK, registered Architect in the UK and Greece, and LEED Accredited Professional. She is the past president of the IBPSA Houston chapter, which was recently recognized by the International Building Performance Simulation Association – USA (IBPSA-USA) through the Outstanding Chapter Award. Her work manifests through building performance simulations, generative design, human-centric design, performance-based design, performance parametrics, and performance analytics. With more than 14 years of experience in architecture, Mili has been involved in built or proposed projects in the US, Europe, the UK, Africa, Latin America, Russia, the Middle East, and East Asia. She has lectured or taught in Greece, Spain, and the United States and has written for publications such as the PLEA, ARCC-EAAE, SimAUD, eCAADe, Cisbat, ACSA, Façade Tectonics, and Advanced Building Skins.
