Building This Vision Together
Next Steps in Academic Programs

The 2025 Legislature directed designated funds for UH to build academic programs for the Katy campus. We are expanding programs in health care, engineering, business and technology. The 2024 Hanover Study and the ongoing listening tour will continue to refine these programs.
Program innovation under consideration aligns with workforce realities, including:
- Streamlined undergraduate degree pathways
- Undergraduate-to-master’s
- Flexible pathways that allow students either to enter the workforce sooner or continue into advanced study
Infrastructure Needs & Priorities

To build a thriving campus, we will need additional space. The UH Katy Campus currently
includes one building with rapidly filling offices and classrooms. Our immediate need
is to have an Academic Building with high-tech classrooms, online studios, science
labs, and industry partnership and innovation
space. Further expansion will include a Collaboration Center with specially designed
spaces that encourage interaction and engagement.
Buildings are typically funded by a combination of private philanthropy and state appropriations. UH is prepared to work together with the community to build a thriving, vibrant campus in Katy.
