Kirk Reese has a lifelong relationship with country clubs and club management, following in the footsteps of his father, Fred A. Reese Jr. A second-generation club manager, certified club manager and member of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) Honor Society, Kirk graduated cum laude from the University of Houston's Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management and then entered the club-management field, holding management positions at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts, under David Chag, CCM; The Los Angeles Country Club under James H. Brewer, MCM; and Chevy Chase Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland. He became the 14th general manager and COO of The Los Angeles Country Club in 2003.

Kirk gained major tournament experience at the 1988 U.S. Open and 1999 Ryder Cup, both held at The Country Club. During his time in Boston, Kirk was a visiting instructor teaching club-management operations at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and also served as CMAA student chapter liaison. In addition, he participated in major facility renovations at The Country Club and Chevy Chase Club. As general manager and COO of Chevy Chase Club, Kirk oversaw the restructuring of the club's governance into a general manager/COO concept. As general manager and COO of The Los Angeles Country Club, Kirk is in charge of his third platinum-level club.

Kirk has served CMAA in a number of capacities during the past 25 years, including serving on the board of directors of the National Capital, Southern California and New England chapters. His interest in wine led him to serve as host of the International Wine Society in 2003, and he also has served on a number of CMAA national committees, including the certification and premier club services committees and several CMAA "at conference" committees.

During the past several years, Kirk also has been a member of the National Club Association's board of directors and currently serves as the association's membership committee chairman. In addition, Kirk has been active in the California State Club Association, lobbying for private club industry concerns.

Kirk and his wife Monique reside in Pasadena, California.
