A Transitional Year

2023

The Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership has particularly thrived in recent years because it has redefined hospitality education and research, constantly finding ways to improve. The completion of an ambitious strategic plan in 2022 led to a curriculum overhaul, organizational restructuring and a substantial hotel expansion. The college's new strategic plan aligns with the University of Houston's goals, aiming for Top 50 Public University status. The college is also especially proud to have finished renovating Eric's Club Center for Student Success and relocating, rejuvenating Cougar Grounds coffee shop. With each of these exciting innovations, the college remains committed to honoring foundational traditions, like Gourmet Nights and Corks and Forks. Dean Dennis Reynolds is eager to embrace these traditions while also forging new, future initiatives. He humbly attributes any success to the outstanding faculty, staff, students, alumni, industry partners and friends who will forever shape the college’s narrative.

Student Success

Fall 2016 – Spring 2017

Student success is Provost Paula Myrick Short’s No. 1 initiative. It is the reason our faculty and staff come to work every day. Because Hilton College is so committed to this initiative, this Dean’s Report highlights what we are doing to facilitate and improve upon our student success. It features our dedicated staff in recruitment and enrollment, undergraduate academic services, graduate studies, career development and alumni engagement who interact with our students daily to help foster that success. This report also shares our vision for future growth, each phase of which is tied directly to our student success goals, a snapshot of our financial health and a list of donors who are helping to make all of this possible.
