Queer Art Showcase - Registration Open!

Come and show your own queer art and/or learn about famous LGBTQ+ artists.

As requested by our UH LGBTQ students, we are hosting this event that features LGBTQ artists. We will be showing art from a variety of famous and student artists. All are welcome to attend.

We will also be displaying the student art at the LGBTQ Resource Center April 4th through April 7th.

Student Artists Rules

1. All art must be completely original by the artist submitting
2. Art may be inspired by other art, but please include all references or inspirations
3. Art may be any medium
4. Traditional art must be scanned or photographed and able to fit on one PowerPoint slide
5. Animation must be limited to one minute in length (link to YouTube video or other video site)
6. Songs must be limited to one minute in length
7. All writing (poetry, short stories, song lyrics, etc.) cannot exceed one page in length
8. Art may be explicit (but subject to being denied for the art show if it is deemed too likely to be triggering or is LGBTQ+ phobic, racist, xenophobic, anti-Semitic, sexist, etc.)
9. Art may be anonymous

Submission

1. All submissions must be by LGBTQ-identifying people.
2. Submit HERE by March 24, 2023 @ 12pm (you must log in to Get Involved first)
   
3. Artists may submit 1 -3 pieces of work
