The University of Houston Campus Leaders Ceremony, hosted by the Center for Student Involvement, is an opportunity for the university community to recognize outstanding student leaders, individuals, organizations, and programs.

This year, nominees and award winners were honored with the release of the 36th annual Leadership & Legacy Awards interactive website. More than 20 awards were announced including Distinguished leaders by classification, Rising Star, Unsung Hero, Outstanding Student Organization, and the ceremony’s highest honor, The Legacy Award. The Legacy Award winners include: Ailin Fei, Kelechi Iroegbu, CJ Moorer, and Lotanna Ohazuruike. For a full list of winners, visit the interactive website. Winners were determined by a committee of judges representing the University of Houston.

“I continue to be impressed by the amazing contributions our student leaders make on our campus and in the Houston community. Despite the continued challenges of the pandemic, their leadership and innovation demonstrates their passion and commitment to making a positive impact,” Dr. Tina Powellson, Director for the Center for Student Involvement.

More about the Center for Student Involvement: CSI provides involvement opportunities for students at the University of Houston. Over 500 student organizations are registered with CSI and it is the central location for leadership programs and civic engagement opportunities. CSI staff support six university-sponsored organizations with the planning and implementation of campus programs, events, and traditions. The Center for Student Involvement creates an inclusive and accessible environment that provides meaningful and diverse learning and involvement opportunities to impact student success.
