DSA Strategic Plan: Our Journey to Top 50

2023-2027

The purpose of the new strategic plan is to contribute and align with the UH Strategic plan and will intentionally focus on Achieving Top 50 Status, Enhancing UH’s Strategic Priorities, and Fostering Student Engagement by increasing a sense of belonging, student engagement, and academic success.

New Strategic Initiatives

  • Increase Retention of First Time in College (FTIC) students
  • Promote increased student credit hours and GPA for FTIC
  • Increase the retention rate of Pell-eligible FTIC
  • Increased alumni engagement/ giving to DSA
  • Increased grants/ donations to DSA
  • Lowering costs for economically disadvantaged
  • Increased student engagement
  • Increased engagement for students at UH Sugar Land and UH Katy campuses
  • Engagement with Third Ward

 

 

Strategic Plan Steering Committee

The steering committee was comprised of the Division of Student Affairs Executive Leadership Team. The Executive Leadership Team worked to determine a strategy on how to navigate forward and align with the President’s laser focus on becoming a Top 50 institution.

The Executive Leadership Team also worked with the Senior Leadership Team and the Senior Leadership Team Plus by getting their valuable feedback and insight on the new Strategic Plan 2023-2027.
