Position Description
The CYBER-CARE consortium is looking for Postdocs/Research Associates (renewable), effective as soon as possible. Prospective candidates are required to have a doctoral degree in Transportation Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Urban Planning, or a field closely related to transportation and cybersecurity. The successful candidates will contribute to multiple research projects in the following areas:
- Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) Cybersecurity,
- AI Applications and Transportation Data Security,
- Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) Cybersecurity, and
- Next-Generation Transportation Cybersecurity System.
The CYBER-CARE consortium, USDOT Tier-1 University Transportation Center, aims to promote interdisciplinary research and education across both transportation and cybersecurity domains. CYBER-CARE’s consortium partners include Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), Rice University (Rice), Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC), the University of Cincinnati (UC), and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM).

The recruitment committee will begin to screen applications immediately, and the process will continue until the positions are filled. Other preferred qualifications include
- Experience in proposal writing,
- Strong programming or data analysis skills, and
- Excellent academic writing and presentation skills.
Research Associate level appointments are expected to have a minimum two years of postdoctoral experience.
