Cougar Card

Cougar Card Services welcomes new students and employees to the UH main campus.

The Cougar Card Office is located in suite 151 of the Welcome Center, next to the New Era Thrifted shop. Our team administers and distributes the University's official identification card — the Cougar Card.

Cougar Card Options

Students, faculty, and staff may select one option only: a mobile Cougar Card or the physical and digital Cougar Card. A mobile Cougar Card and a physical Cougar Card cannot be held at the same time. 

Mobile Cougar Card

Your Cougar Card, fully on your device. 

Store your Cougar Card in your Apple Wallet or access it on Android through the Atrium Campus Connect app. Simply tap your device to access buildings, services, and payment locations. No need to unlock your phone. 

Best for: A fast, contactless, all-in-one experience. 

Physical Cougar Card

A traditional campus ID with added flexibility. 

A smart ID with embedded technology that allows you to tap for secure access to services, buildings, and payment systems. It can be paired with the digital Cougar Card in the UH Go app for additional uses. 

Best for: Students, faculty, and staff who need full campus functionality with devices not compatible with the mobile Cougar Card.  

Digital Cougar Card

Quick, on-the-go access to select services through the UH Go app. 

Scan the QR code for use at participating services and payment locations. The app must be open with the code visible to use. 

Best for: Students, faculty, and staff who don’t need building or printing lab access and may have devices that are not compatible with the Mobile Cougar Card. 

Important: 
The digital Cougar Card does not support building access or printing labs. A physical Cougar Card is required for these services.
