Tagore Scholar Passport Operating Scholarship

The Tagore Society of Houston and the University of Houston India Studies Program, the Department of English and Creative Writing Program invite applications for the 2019 Tagore Scholar Passport Operating Scholarship. The award of $5,000 is meant to support advanced study by a University of Houston graduate student pursuing research and/or creative work that will advance understanding and appreciation of the values and ideas of Rabindranath Tagore.

Submission Deadline: Applications for the 2019 award should be submitted to the Department of Modern and Classical Languages - Room 613, Agnes Arnold Hall, University of Houston, by 5pm February 1st 2019. Shri Sita Ram Foundation Excellence Scholarship in India Studies

The India Studies Program at the University of Houston is pleased to announce the Excellence Scholarship, to be awarded in Spring 2019. The scholarship will award $350 to four, undergraduate students currently enrolled in India Studies courses

Criteria: Applicants must have a current, minimum GPA of 3.0; submit a resume; and a two page essay outlining how the study of India has contributed to their academic coursework and/or career.  Please make sure to put your name on all the materials and send the application materials to Deadline: 5pm, March 30, 2019.
