Events

The Adaptive Athletics program at UH Hosts events every semester. These include local, regional, national, and international events. Adaptive athletics events are hosted, coordinated, and run by students for academic credit.
These students gain valuable insight in disability programming, inclusion in sport, and community building.

Cougar Open
The Cougar Open is our biggest international tournament of the year. We welcome players from many different countries like Argentina, Japan and Belgium.
Cougar Run Ball Doubles Tournament
At this scrimmage tournament we fundraise for future Adaptive’s events.
Cougar Cup
The Cougar Cup is a rugby or power soccer tournament that Adaptive hosts.
Halliburton Women’s Wheelchair Rugby Champions Tour
This event is held over the summer.
Metal of Muscle
This event is hosted by the Houston Parks and Rec and we help them by managing transportation and volunteers.
USTA ITF Camp of the Americas
UH has hosted this international event 4 times, bringing elite junior wheelchair tennis players from across the Americas to Houston, Texas for a week of instruction and competition.
We also volunteer and help at events all over the Houston area.
