Shannon Jacobson, M.S., CCC-SLP

Shannon Jacobson graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and earned a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington. Since 2015, she has worked in a variety of medical settings across the continuum of care, including hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient facilities, providing evaluation and treatment to adults with complex medical needs, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, tracheostomy, vent dependence, head and neck cancer, transplants, and neurodegenerative diseases. In 2021, she joined the University of Houston as a clinical educator at the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic and provides supervision and instruction to graduate students treating adults with cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders resulting from neurologic injuries. Her primary areas of interests include dysphagia, total laryngectomy, aphasia, and acquired apraxia of speech.
