Nancy Oicata de Torres, M.S., CCC-SLP

Nancy Oicata received her B.S. degree in Speech Pathology from National University of Colombia; Specialist in Audiology from Iberoamerican University Corporation and obtained her Masters in Speech and Language Pathology from University of VIC, Spain. She has practiced as a speech-language pathologist since 2001 and participated in the LONESTAR LEND program, designed to develop leaders in the field of autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disabilities in the period of 2019-2020 at McGovern Medical School-UT Health Houston. Mrs. Oicata is mother of 3, two of them teenagers with the Autism Spectrum. Inspired by her sons' condition, she acquired extensive training and continuing education in a variety of areas of expertise, which include: developmental disabilities, autism, early childhood language, AAC, pediatric feeding disorders, sensory development and integration disorders, emotional and behavior strategies for ASD population. She is founder of “Loving Speech Therapy” and “Aprende del Autismo” with the unique mission of helping Hispanic families like her family.
