The Center for Diversity and Inclusion will host its annual Fall Speaker Series on October 18, 2022.

This year's Fall Speaker Series is sponsored by Amazon and focuses on Advancing STEM at a Hispanic Serving (not just enrolling) Institution.

Our speaker this year is Astronaut and Engineer, Dr. Jose Hernandez.

Dr. Jose Hernandez worked at NASA Johnson Space Center from 2001 to 2011, where he served as an astronaut, legislative analyst, branch chief, and materials research engineer. His session is titled, Reaching New Heights, in which he will share his story as a migrant farm worker turned astronaut, his experiences training in social isolation, and the importance of perseverance.
