A&F Communicators Meetings Purpose and Method
Purpose:
To work as a group to keep lines of communication open about events and news in Administration and Finance; A&F Communicators should contribute news, features, calendar items and communications for the A&F monthly newsletter and the websites to keep the UH community up to date and informed; Maintain transparency of division and offer collaboration/partnerships throughout the division.
Methods of communication:
Press releases, email blasts (RightNow), social media (Facebook, Twitter, You Tube), website (banners, news items, photos), A&F week ahead email distribution, A&F Focus Newsletter, signage, UH Digest/UH Today, Daily Cougar, PIER, blogs, list servs, Hofheinz Pavilion electronic billboard
Beat assignments for each department:
Communications representative for each “beat” (department) will be responsible for writing/submitting communications about upcoming news and events to keep the UH community aware and maintain transparency of A&F
Tips for staying informed in your department:
1) Look for departmental enhancements and efficiencies
2) Look for individuals that have interesting life stories or experiences that should be recognized
3) Upcoming events/programs/services
4) Reach out to managers and administrators in your area and ask what projects they are working on for the next six months

1) Email press release to Richard Zagrzecki for proofreading
2) Richard will work with Loraine Crutchfield for posting to A&F website
