The primary path for UH’s commodity peering service was disrupted for a short period of time, and caused a longer duration of instability with all UH internet services following recovery.

UH Internet Services are disrupted. SMEs are investigating this incident. The estimated time to repair is unavailable.

ITAC is coordinating with administrators and support staff who are currently working on the problem, and assessing the scope and impact.

A second disruption to network and internet services has occurred. SME’s continue to investigate the disruptions that occurred today. The network has stabilized at this time, however, additional disruptions may occur as a root cause is isolated and repaired.

ITAC, in coordination with administrators and support staff, have developed the following impact assessment:

SME’s identified the device that cause disruption to network and internet services occurred. They opened a TAC case with Cisco and have provided them the log. Cisco support was unable to determine the root cause of the issue and recommend SME to continue monitor. The network has been stabilized since 2:56 PM yesterday.
