Reading of My Mind Is Free, by Sam Hall

Tuesday, January 22nd, 5:30 PM @ University of Houston

This year Mildred’s Umbrella Theater Company (Houston's only WOMEN-centric theater company) is partnering with women-service organizations to bring "awareness" of their missions, through staged readings of plays that address their specific cause. The first of these events honors the group United Against Human Trafficking with a reading of "My Mind Is Free" by Sam Hall. Ms. Hall is a British Playwright, and she's very excited to partner with us on this project as well. Based on true-life stories told by people trapped in various forms of human trafficking, the play is both heartbreaking and eye opening to the extremity of human trafficking in the world today. "My Mind Is Free" was well received and toured Britain for over a year during its first production.

UH WGSS is pleased to sponsor this reading at UH. Admission is free but donations are welcome. All proceeds made from these outreach events will go directly to the service organizations in support of their programming for women.
