Southern Management Association Southern Management Association (SMA)
The Southern Management Association (SMA) is a domestic affiliate of the Academy of Management.  The mission of SMA is to create value for our members, organizations, and society through professional development, high-impact scholarship and teaching, and engaging programs. Presently, the SMA membership consists of approximately 1,000 management professors, doctoral students, and executives representing more than 200 colleges, universities, and business firms in 43 states and several foreign countries.
