What is CLASS? The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is a dynamic place full of intellectual curiosity and creative energy. Encompassing creative and performing arts, humanities, and social sciences, the College truly is the intellectual and artistic heart of the university.
Research Professor Carroll Parrott Blue and the Southeast Houston Transformation Alliance (SEHTA) are working to revitalize the OST/South Union Area. The City of Houston awarded a Keep Houston Beautiful certificate of recognition to the Kuhlman Gully Bench public art installation commissioned by SEHTA. The work will be unveiled at 2pm on Sunday.
CLASS invites you to nominate a faculty member for the 2014 Ross M. Lence Teaching Excellence Awards. Three awards will be presented to CLASS faculty members deemed worthy of recognition, one in each of three categories: Visual/Performing Arts; Social Sciences; Humanities.
A must attend for all graduation candidates! – Monday, December 16 from 10:00am to 2:00pm and Tuesday, December 17 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. – During this event you can: Pickup your graduation packet, Toast with the Dean to the CLASS of 2013, have all of your commencement event questions answered. You may “come and go” at any time during event hours.
The Fall 2013 Commencement Ceremony will be held in Hofheinz Pavilion from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.
