The UH Technology Bridge was thrilled to partner with Houston Exponential in hosting the final day of H-Town Roundup 2025.

A week-long event celebrating Houston’s innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment ecosystem, H-Town Roundup brought together founders, investors, and industry leaders for discussions, networking, and panels on topics like venture capital, technology, entertainment, and sports innovation.

The day kicked off with group discussions where entrepreneurs engaged with investors to learn how they can attract more capital investment to the greater Houston area. As Houston continues to evolve as a startup and capital investment hub, events like H-Town Roundup play a crucial role in fostering collaboration among entrepreneurs and investors. Group sessions focused on funding strategies, banking insights, and what it takes to become investor-ready in Houston’s thriving startup ecosystem.

These conversations provided founders with valuable insights on attracting more capital investment to the region. Christine Gabriel, a leader in startup ecosystem growth, shared her vision for Houston’s future as a center of entrepreneurship and investment, stating, “I see investment initiatives expanding greatly over the next few years, especially with the foundation that is being built now. The only way to go is up!”

In the afternoon sessions, the spotlight shifted to the future of entertainment, where industry leaders explored how technology is revolutionizing media, music, and sports. Panelists explored the rise of 'edutainment' and the importance of blending education with entertainment to engage and inspire future generations. Further discussions centered on how evolving technology is transforming the creation, distribution, and monetization of music.

Houston’s emergence as a hub for sports innovation was another major theme. Panels included Houston’s leaders in the industry, such as Ryan Walsh, CEO of Harris County Sports Authority, and Chris Canetti, President of the Houston 2026 World Cup Bid Committee. In addition to sharing valuable opportunities for entrepreneurs to get involved in the sports industry, they discussed data-driven strategies, emerging technologies, and the game-changing advancements shaping the future of sports.

From insightful discussions on funding strategies to the transformative role of technology in media, music, and sports, H-Town Roundup 2025 helped shine a light on the city’s momentum as a forum for entrepreneurship and investment. As Houston continues to rise as a center for innovation, events like these play a major part in driving its future forward.
