The mission of the HEAR Lab is to build the capacity of emerging and senior scholars to design, disseminate, and share collaborative and methodologically sound research that engages communities and informs actionable change.
CULTIVATE - We offer activities, training, and events that encourage thoughtful dialogue and critical reflection on research practices, including how personal and professional perspectives shape scholarly inquiry. We believe rigorous and innovative research is supported by continuous reflection and a commitment to ethical and transparent practices.
CONNECT - We provide support to better connect scholars to one another, to connect research to policy, and to connect academic researchers to community experts.
AMPLIFY - We generate and disseminate products that increase the reach of research findings to a variety of audiences to increase the public impact of scholarly work of the UH GCSW.
