Community Engagement

its commitment to integrating civic participation and involvement into its higher
education mission. For its longstanding efforts in supporting communities through
teaching, research and service, UH has been recognized with the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification. This honor was earned through projects that leave a lasting impact on society and

Summer Camps at UH
Each summer, students from around the world converge on the University of Houston’s campus to attend summer camps. These camps provide pre- college learning experiences to high school, middle school and elementatry school students. Some events are aimed at university and college students from other institutions, as well as professionals. A list of camps is available online and is updated regularly.
