As the University of Houston prepares to celebrate a century of excellence in higher education, it is also looking ahead to new ways of recognizing faculty achievements.
With the Centennial Celebration fast approaching, we are beginning a new chapter in faculty awards at UH. As we look toward the University’s next 100 years, we will continue to honor high-achieving faculty through the introduction of the Innovation and Excellence Awards.
This group of awards includes the honors listed below.
- The Innovation in Teaching Award
- The Cougar Spirit Faculty Award
- Big XII Faculty of the Year Award
- Two awards from the UH Innovation Council
Your input is essential to recognizing UH’s exemplary scholars, teachers and researchers. Please take a moment to nominate your peers. Additional information, including eligibility criteria and nomination processes are on the Faculty Awards webpage.
Details about the spring Faculty Awards Ceremony will be shared soon. As we introduce these new awards, we are also reimagining this annual event. It will continue its tradition of honoring UH’s outstanding faculty while offering an engaging and celebratory experience for attendees.
