You've made a great decision to attend the University of Houston, a Tier-One institution, and attending online allows you to learn anywhere — bringing the classroom to you. College is a journey with many ups, downs and turns. It can be very challenging, but also incredibly rewarding. We are dedicated to the success of our students from choosing a program to graduation.

As a University of Houston Online Coog, you have access to the resources you will need to succeed on your academic journey. Choose your academic program
University of Houston offers a wide variety of undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs both online and through hybrid, session and Weekend U options. Review our programs to find the one that best fits your needs.

Review our student benefits and services
Online students are eligible for many of the same benefits and services as on-campus students, including electronic library access and career services.

Apply and be admitted to the University
Are you ready to apply? Undergraduate and graduate students should review the specific admissions requirements prior to applying for a program.

Meet with your acadmic advisor
Do you have questions about your program? Ready to register for classes? We are here to help with any questions you may have about our programs and courses.

Attend orientation or request a waiver
University of Houston offers several orientations for students to register for classes, learn about available resources, and tour the campus. Undergraduate students living outside of the Houston area completing an online degree can request an orientation waiver by contacting our office. Graduate student orientation is recommended but not mandatory.

Participate in classes and use online tools
Most online classes use a web-based learning management system, such as Blackboard and CourseWare. These systems provide an online environment for student interaction, submitting assignments, and completing exams.
