Trent Stuenkel is a junior at the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business, where he’s pursuing a B.B.A in Finance and Accounting through the Bauer Business Honors Program. His academic and professional interests center on fundamental valuation and financial analysis, with a goal of breaking into investment banking with a focus on M&A transactions.

Trent currently serves as the co-President of the Energy Coalition, one of the UH’s largest student organizations, where he works to connect students with major energy employers including Shell, Chevron, and ConocoPhillips. He also interns with the UH Division of Energy & Innovation, supporting industry engagement events including the UH Energy Career Fair and the Energy Advisory Board breakfast. In addition, Trent is a part of the SURF program as an undergraduate research fellow, where he is developing a valuation framework for early-stage healthcare companies.
Prior to his work at UH, Trent completed a finance internship at Sustained Modulation, where he built financial models and dashboards tracking unit economics across product lines. He also contributed to a sponsored project internship with Beacon Offshore Energy by delivering a formal acquisition pitch to the company’s executive team. He is a recipient of the UH Energy Scholarship, the Moya Family Scholarship, and the Thomas R. and Richard S. Franklin Scholarship, and has been named to the Dean’s List every semester.
Trent is also an Eagle Scout who served as Senior Patrol Leader, which was an experience he credits for shaping his approach to leadership and accountability. He is also a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Junior Committee. In his free time, Trent enjoys hiking, camping, rock climbing, soccer, photography, and videography.
