Biographical Summary
Max Allamong is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Houston. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 2022 with specializations in American politics and quantitative methodology. Most recently, he was a postdoctoral associate with the Duke Initiative on Survey Methodology and the Duke Polarization Lab. His research examines public opinion, polarization, and discontent with parties and the political system. He studies these topics with a variety of methodological approaches including survey experiments, artificial intelligence, and text analysis. His work has been published at outlets including the American Political Science Review, the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, and other peer-reviewed journals.
