Valenti Students Selected for Most Promising Multicultural Students Program
Advertising students Kevin Pham and Evan Neuhoff will be joining the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) 2019 class of Most Promising Multicultural Students (MPMS).
Eight top professionals from the advertising industry selected 50 culturally diverse students from across the United States for this honor. The MPMS program seeks to combine the top diverse scholars with the advertising industry.
Students from over 160 college campuses applied. The program is competitive and selective. Candidates must undergo a meticulous application process which includes essays, letters of recommendation and a portfolio, among other requirements.
“I wasn’t aware of how competitive it was. My friend encouraged me to apply, and I just went along with it,” said Neuhoff. “I’m always looking to test myself and what I can achieve.”
The recipients will be flown to New York City for a four-day conference where they will attend workshops, networking events and meetings with high-level executives.
The MPMS program strives to create diversity in demographics, background and attitude to promote inclusion among the advertising field.
“I am proud to represent multicultural students in the advertising industry,” said Pham. “It means a lot to me to be able to voice my insights and cultural viewpoints to like minded individuals and professionals.”
