Welcome to the Dual Lab!

The lab is directed by Dr. Castilla-Earls and is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIDCD).

The mission of the Dual Lab is to investigate language development and assessment practices in dual language learners.

Get involved! Current Research Studies

  •   Differentiating language loss from language disorders. This study is for Spanish-speaking children (5-6 year olds). Info about this study in Spanish and English.
  •   Growing Up Bilingual. This study is for college students.

Students

The students are the heart and soul of the Dual Language lab. All our students are bilingual and are enrolled in the communication sciences and disorders program at the University of Houston.
