Impact of Fraternity and Sororities Recognized at Annual Night of Celebration
Every year the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life (CFSL) brings together undergraduate members, alumni, volunteers, and university faculty/staff with the sole purpose of recognizing the impact that fraternities and sororities have on the University of Houston campus at the annual Night of Celebration awards banquet. On Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, the fraternity and sorority community gathered for such a celebration. Fraternities and sororities receive awards and recognition based on academic, program, and leadership achievements from Fall 2021 through Spring 2022. They were also awarded for their performance in the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life Fraternal Excellence Program.

Ja’Nelle King named Director for the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life
The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services is proud to announce, Ja’Nelle King, as the new Director for the Center of Sorority and Fraternity Life.

Order of Omega
Order of Omega is a leadership honor society for members of Fraternity & Sorority organizations founded in 1959 at the University of Miami. Order of Omega recognizes juniors and seniors who have exemplified high standards in the areas of scholarship, leadership, involvement within their respective organization and within the Fraternity/Sorority, campus, and local community. To date, over 570 plus chapters have been chartered throughout North America, each sharing the common goal of recognizing the many outstanding student leaders at their institution.

Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity Establishes Chapter at UH
The Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life (CFSL) welcomed Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity as the newest chartered fraternity to the University of Houston at the end of the spring semester. Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity began at the University of Houston in the fall of 2015 and the group was officially colonized on November 11, 2015.

Johnson elected new Region Director for AFA Region IV
The Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisers (AFA) recently announced the 2016 Leadership election results naming Cassandra Johnson as the Region IV Director. Johnson is currently the Activities Coordinator in the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life (CFSL) at the University of Houston.

The Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life welcomes Guillermo Flores as the new Fraternity/Sorority Housing Coordinator
June 8, 2015 - The Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life would like to formally introduce their new Fraternity/Sorority Housing Coordinator to the team. Starting on June 22, 2015, Guillermo Flores will be taking the initiative to further the advancement of student learning through a meaningful chapter housing experience among fraternity and sorority members living at the University of Houston's fraternity/sorority housing facility, Bayou Oaks.

University of Houston's Panhellenic Council announces extension for a new chapter
September 16, 2013 - The Houston Panhellenic Council at the University of Houston voted to extend and open up their community for a new chapter on September 10, 2013. They hope be see a new National Panhellenic Conference organization colonize on campus no later than Fall 2015.

Sigma Nu Fraternity Re-chartered at the University of Houston
On Saturday, April 27th, 2013, members, alumni, and guests gathered at the University of Houston Hilton Hotel and Conference Center to celebrate the re-chartering of the Zeta Chi chapter of Sigma Nu fraternity at the University of Houston.

UH Welcomes Alpha Epsilon Pi to the Fraternity & Sorority Community
On Saturday, April 20th, the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity was officially welcomed to the University of Houston Fraternity & Sorority Community as the Upsilon Eta chapter.

UH Greek Life Honored at Night of Celebration
The Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life hosted the 1st Annual Fraternity and Sorority Night of Celebration on Tuesday, January 29, 2013.  Nearly 300 students, faculty, staff and advisors were in attendance to celebrate the many accomplishments of the fraternity and sorority community over the 2012-2013 academic year.
