The Office of Administration leadership is delighted to announce the following service updates beginning in spring semester 2025.
Parking and Transportation Services
- Fort Bend Transit now offers free shuttle service to and from UH at Sugar Land and AMC, starting January 6th. This means that commuters using the county’s downtown service from Fort Bend with a stop at the UH Welcome Center can access this service via AMC or the UH at Sugar Land instructional site. Auxiliary Services
- Cougar Woods Dining Commons underwent a facelift over winter break and reopens with an enhanced ambiance, updated stations, and a variety of flavors to create a new dining experience. New stations include Garden Bar, Bold Bistro, Ciao Chow, Delicious Without, La Mesa, Pit Stop, World Table, and Sugar Rush.
- Einstein’s Bros Bagels, closed for fall 2024 due to building damages from Hurricane Beryl, reopens.
- What It Do BBQ will open in the Stadium Parking Garage Retail Center.
- In the Student Center South, Chick-Fil-A re-launches breakfast service while the Student Center Market will have breakfast tacos for sale. The Nook will continue breakfast service at The RAD Center, while Taco Stand will discontinue breakfast service and now open at 10:30 a.m. to begin lunch service.
- Houston Street Subs will open in spring 2025 at the Student Center, replacing Melt Lab.
- New and updated menu items will be on the menus at Absurd Bird, Paper Lantern, and Asado Tacos & Bowls, providing more choices for community members.
- The university and its dining partner, Chartwells, are still reviewing proposals to replace the subcontracted McDonald's in the Student Center.
University Services
- Delivery Services launches its Mail and Package Tracking Portal this semester. Key features include online package/mail tracking status and the ability to submit requests for assistance. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements about this feature.
- Copy and Print Services online ordering website will launch in February. Customers may submit their non-custom orders (e.g., stationery, handbills) by using the new online ordering website.
