Esmeralda Valdez, Ph.D., CASP
Executive Director, University Services
Esmeralda Valdez, Ph.D., CASP, is an experienced professional in higher education
with more than 30 years of experience. She currently holds the position of executive
director for University Services. In this role, she is responsible for the strategic
direction and management of various campus service departments, including printing
and mail services, campus card services, business operations, and performance center
operations. Valdez is an active member of the National Association of College Auxiliary
Services Board of Directors and the National Association of College Auxiliary Services
South Board of Directors as the South Region representative. She also chairs the National
Association of College Auxiliary Services Communication Services Committee. Valdez
has received several awards, including the National Association of College Auxiliary
Services 2022 Volunteer of the Year award, the National Association of College Auxiliary
Services 2020 David H. Lord Scholarship for Community Services award, and the 2020
National Association of College Auxiliary Services South Regional Mentor award. Valdez
is a certified auxiliary services professional (CASP) and holds a Doctor of Philosophy
in higher education leadership and policy studies and a Master of Education in administration
& supervision-higher education from the University of Houston.
