Two More Halal Food Trucks to Serve UH Community

halal foodUniversity of Houston Dining Services welcomes two new halal food trucks, Crisp Doner Café and The Kebap Crew, to the UH food truck program.

Crisp Doner and The Kebap Crew are local Houston halal-certified food trucks that specialize in serving doner and kebap style halal cuisine. Each food truck has been custom built to meet all halal specifications that are required to serve halal proteins.

Crisp Doner Café serves a variety of doner style burgers, durums, tacos and more. The food truck features carved halal chicken and beef that customers can add to build a savory creation like a doner durum. A doner durum is a wrap filled with carved halal beef, lettuce, onions and tomatoes served with french fries and a soft drink.

The Kebap Crew offers a collection of halal kebaps like chicken and beef shish kebabs. The food truck delivers custom creations like an Adana kebap wrap with beef and lamb or a falafel wrap with red cabbage. Each meal is served with wheat rice, pita bread, grilled onions, peppers and tomatoes.

The Crisp Doner Café soon will be opening a storefront location at 2137 Texas 6 S. to serve the Houston community.
