The University of Houston Staff Council is an advisory body to the President of the University and the University administration. Staff Council consists of elected staff members from each division who represent the entire staff body.

Every four years, as part of its Annual National Meeting, the Green Party of the United States holds a Presidential Nominating Convention (PNC) to select a candidate for President of the United States. Delegates are chosen by each state party according to its own rules, either by a primary election, caucus, or state nominating convention. This year's PNC will be held on campus of the University of Houston, in Houston, Texas August 4th - 7th. Click here for more information

The 31st annual university-wide election for Staff Council representatives is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19, and Wednesday, July 20, 2016. This year’s elections will be conducted online. By going to http://election.uh.edu, staff members will be able to vote from their office, or if they cannot be on campus, from any computer, on the day and time of the election. Since not everyone has access to a computer, and also in the event that someone may need assistance, Staff Council will also be providing public polling sites with computers and Staff Council volunteers.
