The University of Houston Staff Council is an advisory body to the President of the University and the University administration. Staff Council consists of elected staff members from each division to represent the entire staff body.

2008 Staff Council Membership Nomination Form Available
The University of Houston Staff Council is currently accepting nominations for the 2008 Staff Council Elections. Download a PDF of the nomination form and send the completed form to Maria Saldana, E. Cullen Building, Room 501G, FAX: 713-743-9196, not later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2008. If you have questions, please call Maria Saldana at 713-743-9206 (e-mail: mjsaldana@uh.edu) or contact any Staff Council member. Online Elections will be held Tuesday-Wednesday, July 15-16, 2008. Voting in person will only be available on Tuesday, July 15, 2008.

Planning Begins for 11th Annual Cougar First Impressions, August 25-26, 2008
The 2008 Cougar First Impressions will be held on Monday and Tuesday, August 25 and 26, and planning for the event takes place year-round. Rebecca Szwarc is the Staff Council CFI chair and may be contacted at 713-743-6030. For more details about this annual event and its benefits to the University, please see the CFI page.

2008 Spring Forum with President Renu Khator
Staff Council held its 2008 Spring Forum on Thursday, March 6. The forum allowed staff to hear directly from President Renu Khator and her cabinet members.

The Spring Forum webcast is now available for viewing on your computer. You will need Apple Quicktime (download for Mac or Windows) installed on your computer to access the webcast.
