Celebrating Pharmacy's Golden Cougars

Several years ago, UH College of Pharmacy introduced a new tradition to the annual Commencement Ceremony: welcoming back its "Golden Cougar" alumni to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their graduation from the college.

Calling Class of 1968 Alumni

The 2018 Golden Cougars – representing the college's Class of 1969 – are invited to participate in the UHCOP Class of 2018 Commencement on Thursday, May 9, 2018, at Cullen Performance Hall.

In addition, Golden Cougars have an open invitation to join us for the Graduation Awards Reception on Wednesday, May 8.

For more information about Golden Cougar participation, please contact Mary Reed at or 713-743-1252.

Golden Cougar Activities

Participation in Golden Cougar recognition highlights include:

  • Catch up with classmates and peers;
  • Meet and lead the procession of the next generation of leaders in pharmacy and research;
  • Don the graduate's cap and gown;
  • Be recognized on stage and receive a certificate and photo marking the occasion;
  • See how the university has grown and developed; and
  • Experience the excitement of being outstanding member and representative of Houston's only Tier One public research university.

UH College of Pharmacy is proud of the accomplishments of its alumni, and we look forward to welcoming you back to mark this momentous occasion.
