A BP economist will present the global energy company’s annual predictions of the world’s energy picture for the next 20 years at the University of Houston on Thursday, Feb. 26.
The 2015 outlook provides an overview of energy production, consumption, trade, reserves and prices,
identifying long-term energy trends and developing projections for world energy markets up to 2035. Mark Finley, general manager for global energy markets and U.S. economics at BP, will discuss the statistical review, which the company has produced for more than 60 years.
Finley has more than 25 years of experience as an energy economist; he joined BP’s economics team in 2001 and was a 2013 Senior Fellow of the U.S. Association for Energy Economics. He is a former chairman of the American Petroleum Institute’s Committee on Economics and Statistics.
